Why didn’t Apple launch iPhone9?

To give it a new look and go with the trend, they needed to bring some changes in their product. The combination of slimmer bezels and the special occasion of their first anniversary Was the right for the launch of iPhone X. Naming the new iPhone as iPhone 9 would have suggested that the iPhone is in between iPhone 8 and iPhone X and made it seem 3 years older. This was one of the logical reasoning, Apple doesn’t restrict itself form much effective and appealing marketing. With the news of new iPhone launch, we all expected it to be iPhone 9 but Apple had something else to offer. It introduced iPhone X, maintaining its marketing and brand image.
Why windows 9 was not launched
Windows 10 was launched right after Windows 8. After the launch the question everyone had was, ‘What happened to Windows 9? ‘ Windows 8 was a big flop!! Microsoft had to recover from the loss. It wanted to put some distance between the flop that was Windows 8 and its successor. It’s a psychological play and a reference to the fact that Windows 10 is a big step on, and far removed, from Windows 8. Microsoft said it skipped Windows 9 because it wanted to show how big of shift Windows 10 is from past versions and the way the company does things. The other major reason was it wanted to signify new beginning for a product.
