Recently, WhatsApp has come out with a fix for the issue that desktop users were facing. The company came with an update and the WhatsApp desktop beta 2.2219.2 update was launched. The beta testers have confirmed that the issue has been fixed with the update and they are now receiving push notifications. WABetaInfo says that the same fix may also be rolled out to the stable update that features build number 2.2218.8. and if someone continues to experience the same issue, they should update their WhatsApp to the latest updated version.
What if the users still face the issue?
WABetaInfo has said if in case the push notifications don’t show up even after updating the app to the latest version, people are recommended to switch to the beta version. This is because the beta version is bug-free ever since its launch and it is the safest alternative to try out. Along with this, WhatsApp is reported to add detailed reaction information for automatic albums for the beta testers. The iOS testers already had it and the Android beta testers are getting it now. WABetaInfo said that without having to open the automatic album, it was not easy to understand which video or photo has been reacted to. But now, the new beta version has made it possible to view a media thumbnail right inside the reaction info screen.
