Right after the YouTube video began making rounds on different social media channels; Twitter immediately took action and suspended Bannon’s handle @WarRoomPandemic (Steve Bannon’s War Room).  In the video, the former strategist called for Fauci and FBI Director Chris Wray to get fired at the start of President Donald Trump’s second term should he be re-elected. He said, “He’d “like to go a step farther,” but added, “the president’s a kind-hearted man.” Upsettingly, Banon did not hesitate before saying that he would like to “go back to the old times of Tudor England” to implement medieval sentences for Fauci and Wray. He further added, “I’d put the heads on pikes, right? I’d put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to Federal Bureaucrats: you either get with the program or you’re gone. Time to stop playing games.” Citing violation of Twitter rules, a Twitter spokesperson pointed to policies on the site that ban language used by Bannon. He further added that the account has been permanently suspended for violating the social network’s policy on the glorification of violence. This is necessary as the US is anxiously awaiting the results of the presidential election 2020. Twitter has aggressively labelled and concealed tweets by President Donald Trump, who has now moved to the court claiming that the US 2020 election was marred by voter fraud. YouTube has also taken down two videos by One America News which falsely declared victory for Trump.  Read: Obama, Musk, Gates, Bezos Among High-Profile Hacked Twitter Accounts Bannon had also called for the arrest of Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in an episode of War Room: Pandemic. He was agitated because Twitter had placed warnings over multiple tweets from Trump and noted them as “disputed and misleading” about the election. He said, “I knew this moment was going to come. When some punk like Jack Dorsey is going to take down and suppress the free speech of the commander-in-chief.”  Not new to controversies, Bannon is currently awaiting trial after he was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and money laundering in August. He had pleaded not guilty and will go on trial in May 2021. Stay tuned to this page for the latest news and updates!
