LG Wing Swivel Mode

The key highlight of the LG Wing phone is its swivel mode feature. Besides the main screen, LG Wing phone features an additional swivel screen that can rotate up to 90° to allow new use cases. To enable smooth swivels, it uses a hinge mechanism with dual spring and dual lock to enable rotation. Additionally, it features thermoplastic polyoxymethylene at the back of the main screen to facilitate smoother swivelling. It also prevents the main screen from getting scratches in the swivelling process. The South Korean giant has apparently tested LG Wing phone for as many as 200,000 swivels. However, it isn’t just the hardware facilitating the swivel mode. LG is also bringing in some necessary software changes to support its new smartphone. The software tweaks are also aimed at enhancing the multitasking experience on the LG Wing. LG Wing will also offer two distinctive modes, Basic Mode and Swivel Mode for differentiated user experience. For instance, by using the phone in T-shaped swivel mode form, users will be able to watch videos on one screen while simultaneously interacting on the other screen. LG has also partnered with Tubi and YouTube for the smartphone so as the users can play video in the primary screen and rather use search bar and comments in the second screen. Just to avoid those accidental texts and more, users can even enable a Grip Lock on the second screen. It enables the second screen to bring information such as time and date without responding to accidental touches.
