Mridul, a 17-year-old boy from the Gangapur town of Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan, was left baffled after the results were announced.  After checking the OMR sheet and Answer Key, he has now challenged the result declared by the NTA. When the results were announced, Rawat had scored 329 points out of 720. However, after thorough checking, it was found that he has obtained 650 out of 720 marks, thus making him ALL India Topper in ST category. His All India rank in General Category is 3577. A sharp mind indeed, Mridul also spotted another mistake made by NTA whilst declaring the NEET result last week. In the second mark sheet issued by the NTA, the total sum of his marks was 650 but the printed result read 329.  He raised his concern in a tweet, after which the NTA came forward, rechecked the results, and rectified the same.  Also Read: NEET Result 2020: Is Soyeb Aftab The NEET 2020 Topper? Mridul said that he broke down and was completely shattered after his result was released. “I was confident of cracking NEET with 650 points. But when I saw the result, I could not manage myself. My disappointment turned into happiness as soon as NTA released its revised mark sheet acknowledging its mistake. I got 650 out of 720, becoming the All India Topper in SC category.” Also Read: Tamil Nadu Boy Cracks NEET 2020 NEET 2020 exams saw two candidates Soyeb Aftab from Odisha and Akanksha Singh from Delhi who scored 720 out of 720 marks. However, Aftab bagged the first position and Akanksha second as per NTA’s tie-breaking policy, the officials said. Also, in an official notice, NTA said that it has received several complaints from the students stating that they have been receiving calls from people who are “posing as NTA staff or representatives with false assurances to arrange admission in medical colleges through unfair means.” NTA has deemed such callers ‘unscrupulous” and has requested parents and students to file a formal complaint with the police to catch the fraudsters.
