The company says that both X1 Carbon and X1 Carbon Touch have been developed with superior grade carbon fibre because of which they are durable. The company says that X1 Carbon Touch is meant for professionals who are on the move and want a product that offers mobility along with entertainment. “Bringing touch gesture control to our best ThinkPad ever is a natural evolution of the portfolio and a big step towards fulfilling our promise to bring computers into a new PC+ era,” said Lenovo Product Group president Peter Hortensius. The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch weighs 3.4 pounds and it is 20.8mm thin. The company has said that with this new device, users can interact naturally with smooth 10-finger touch on the 14-inch HD+ display and enhance their Windows 8 experience with a large multi-gesture glass touchpad. The system comes with either Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and Dolby Home Theater v4. It also comes with security and manageability capabilities such as vPro, Integrated Fingerprint Reader, Trusted Platform Module and BIOS encryption. Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch comes at a price of $1,499 or Rs 81,414.
