Talking of the new Lenovo industrial robot in particular, it has been named the Lenovo Daystar Robot. It has been specifically developed for the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China. Rui Yong, CTO at Lenovo also shared in his statement that it took the firm about a year to develop the robot after receiving demand from Chinese aircraft corporation. Notably, the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China is also the manufacturing firm behind China’s homegrown single-aisle C919 passenger jets. Lenovo CTO further added that the industrial robo can also be taught to accurately paint the aircraft using remote control using edge computing and 5G.
