Fresh from its raid post-LG complaints of Samsung having stolen OLED secrets from their office, this is the next time that Samsung has locked horns with counterparts. If such allegations are proved to be true, then the Korean giants will have to shell out penalty to the tune of $835,000. The embarrassment will be another tale altogether. A Facebook page, post says, “Samsung Taiwan has ceased all marketing activities that involve the posting of anonymous comments. We regret any inconvenience this incident may have caused. We will continue to reinforce education and training for our employees to prevent any future recurrence.” The post adds that it has conferred with HTC and Samsung. It promises to update anything on the matter as soon as it gets hands on it. What left me dazed is with the success of products one after the other—the Samsung Galaxy lineup, the laptops, the tablet, the phablets—did Samsung have to take such a risk step to stay at the top of the game?
