To see all the media (photos and videos) shared in the group, you can check the Shared tab. Also, other group members can add people to the group unless you (admin) enable the ‘turn on’ option for Approval Request to Join. Being the admin of the group, you have the power to approve all new members before joining the group.

Chat options

While the above information was all about the settings of the group, there are a few options in the Group chat you can use. These options are similar to the ones as the direct messages and allow you to share audio and videos, and add files, documents, and stickers. Also, you can start video calls with the group. However, we do not recommend you to video call a group if there are too many people in it. That said, make sure you have a fast and stable internet connection before you make any video calls. Interestingly, IG allows you to see which of the members has seen your post. It will be updated the moment you are connected to the internet. Simply put, you need to ensure you have a good internet connection if you want to chat or send any files or media in the group. To unsend a message in the group, you can long-press the message you want to remove. Next, press Unsend Message. A poof animation will signify that the message has been removed.
