Nova comprises two meter diameter of aluminium along with polycarbonate. It is in ball form and has a single seat, VR headset and controls inbuilt. The ball is pronged on omni wheels with three supports. Nova allows complete rotation along all aces, as per the VR actions the user engages in. The next time you spin and roll over in your game, Nova lets you actually feel the same in real life. The device is currently integrate-able with simulators such as NoLimits2 – Roller Coaster, X-Plane and Roller Coaster.

A Game Changer On Cards

Besides offering immersive experience in game settings, Nova has a scope for use across training applications. The markets have partnered with New Zealand’s Defence Force in order to work on training devices. Defence trainees can finally get hands on driving situations and equipment on dummy training but with an actual feel of the experience. This will also negate the need to get real big sized equipment out for training. Therefore, cost reduction, and wearing off reduction could be two direct benefits on cards.

End Note

A lot of queries might arise as to probable motion sickness arising from the complete rotation experience available on Nova. To this Terry Miller, the CTO and Founder of Eight360 says, “The VR is too real. It makes your brain think that you are actually in a vehicle. When we put people in a virtual vehicle that recreates the feeling of actually being in a vehicle, they do not get sick.”
