On the occasion of Xiaomi’s eighth anniversary, the company decided to unveil the CyberDog in India.  The CyberDog can adopt a range of complex terrains due to its motion control algorithm and high-performance servo motor, says Xiaomi. Also, its maximum walking speed is said to be 3.2m/ sec. The company took it to Twitter to announce the launch of Xiaomi CyberDog for Indian customers.

CyberDog at your disposal

The four-legged robot is powered by Nvidia’s Jetson Xavier NX AI Supercomputer for Embedded Edge Systems. It is paired with 128GB of SSD storage and is equipped with 11 high—precision sensors.  These sensors include cameras, touch sensors, GPS modules, and ultrasonic sensors which help it to analyze, sense, and interact. The best part about the robot is that it can be customized by developers using USB TYPE- C and an HDMI port and can also do backflips. For the purpose of sharing the progress and results of the robot with developers all around the globe, Xiaomi has set up the ‘Xiaomi Open-Source Community’. Not only this, but it has also committed to providing engineers with a platform for future innovations. Users can manage and give commands to the CyberDog through digital voice assistants and a smartphone app. And being a prototype, it only works for 30 minutes after being charged for two hours. If we talk about the pricing and availability of the CyberDog, it is said to be priced around 1.26 lakh and is available for Chinese developers in some limited units. For all those willing to experience this innovation before the sale, they can visit the places where the company will display it.
