Apple has shared in its latest support document that some of its watch units have suddenly developed cracks near their rounded edges. The company has assured that any user who is facing this issue with their Apple Watch will be granted a free screen replacement. But, it might not be as simple as it sounds. Also, customers will have to ship their Apple Watches and wait for a couple of days to get the watch back. Moreover, the offer is limited to a few selected watch units only.
Eligibility for Apple Watch Screen Replacement Program
Company officials have noted that the company will be looking for very specific cracks around the edges. Thus, if you had just dropped your Apple Watch, you won’t be eligible for the free screen replacements. Additionally, the team at Apple Repair Center will also determine if it is actually eligible for the free replacement.
