Why is it needed to cancel Aadhaar card update request
The card holder has to make a payment of Rs. 50/- while going through Aadhaar card update process. But sometimes it shows error while making the payment. This can happen due to an issue with Internet connection or anything else. The payment fails or gets stuck. However applicant gets URN number on the registered mobile. In such circumstances, payment cannot be made again. If update request is clicked, the page says, “Similar request has been placed already, you can make another request only after disposal of the first one”. In this case, it is mandatory to cancel Aadhaar card update request and a new request should be placed. (granting that amount was deducted, it is usually refunded between 3-7 days). In spite of a successful payment and request, there are mistakes in the request at times. The request placed earlier should be cancelled in this situation too.
